I had a few extra days off due to a work schedule change, so we made a quick trip to visit Grandma Barbara in St George. I love the desert landscape and red rock. Nikolas loved visiting his cousins and grandma in southern UT. The weather was still similar to FL so a new wardrobe wasn't required like it usually is when we go to UT. On our last day the weather changed: instead of a high of 93-100 it was 70-75. His chin got completely chapped in that one day. Highlights of the trip:
~ big smiles for everyone from Niko, seeing family
~ Fall leaves, cute mule deer and a tarantula crossing the road in Pine Valley
~ Hiking in Snow Canyon, seeing cute potguts
~ ice blocking at the "spinning park" in St George with nieces and nephews
~ doing the hokie pokie through the fountains at the splash park
~ Footloose at Tuacahn- amazing dancing and just a fun show
~ Nikolas finding the break between the furniture and peeking out at us
Not so fun stuff:
~ Rick, Mea and Critter didn't get to come with us
~ the long journey
~ layover in Sin City- stuck in traffic on the strip- made worse by the electronic billboards
~ layover in Houston
~ wind storm that kept us up all night
~ Niko hitting his head on the bathroom tile
