"There can be miracles, when you believe"

Yesterday, I was hired as a Fifth grade teacher at Reedy Creek Elementary School! I am starting over. I have been speaking airline lingo for 19 years. Now I'll be learning a new language, the language of LEQ's, Marzano, CIMs, Common Core, and all the other school jargon.

I have been looking for a teaching job for over a year, and have had many rejections and discouraging days, even though I have felt that the Lord was guiding me in this direction and decision.

I have felt like this :

"not all ski days and weather conditions are ideal. On days with overcast skies, we skied in a condition called “flat light.” Flat light occurs when the light from the sun is diffused by the clouds. Looking ahead at the white snow, you find that your depth perception vanishes, and it is difficult to judge the steepness of the slope or see the moguls and bumps on the hill.
...you may be looking forward to your future as I looked at that steep ski slope. You may feel at times that you are living in flat light, unable to see what lies ahead of you. Learning by faith will give you confidence and will help you navigate your way through times of uncertainty." Sister Cook
I have learned to not give up hope, even when it feels like all hope is gone, and time is past.
I am nervous, yet at peace, knowing the Lord is there and will guide me in what needs to be done, even writing lesson plans, and learning a new language.

The song, that I love!,  from our Primary training last week (Prince of Egypt):

Many nights we prayed, with no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hopeful song, we barely understood
Now we are not afraid, although we know there's much to fear
We were moving mountains long before we knew we could

There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles, you can achieve,
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe

In this time of fear, when prayer so often proves in vain
Hope seems like the summer birds, too swiftly flown away
Yet now I'm standing here, my heart so full I can't explain
Seeking faith and speaking words, I'd never thought I'd say

There can be miracles, when you believe (When you believe)
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles, you can achieve (You can achieve)
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe

They don't always happen when you ask
And it's easy to give in to your fear
But when you're blinded by your pain
Can't see your way safe through the rain
A small but still resilient voice
Says help is very near

There can be miracles (miracles)
When you believe (When you believe)
Though hope is frail
It's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve (You can achieve)
When you believe
Somehow you will
You will when you believe
